Honlet Legum Arbitration went up the select international arbitration rankings in the newly released Chambers Global (2024) guide. Chambers’ rankings are exclusively prepared on the basis of client and peer-feedback.
The firm moved up by one Band (now Band 4) in the French international arbitration rankings, where it had made its debut after just one year of existence in 2023. Chambers reported that “Honlet Legum Arbitration is a newly established firm gaining strength in the French market and regularly handling a plethora of arbitration mandates. The practice advises on BIT, investor-state and M&A cases. The team is highly sought after by oil, gas and mining clients.“
In addition to being ranked as a firm, the partners garnered seven individual rankings, three for Jean-Christophe Honlet, in the French, Europe-wide and most-in-demand arbitrators (France) categories, and four for Barton Legum, in the French, Europe-wide, Africa-wide and Global Market Leaders categories.
Chambers reported that Jean-Christophe Honlet “offers substantial experience in handling a wide range of arbitration mandates, including ICC proceedings, acting as both arbitrator and counsel.” Clients and peers commented: “Jean-Christophe is hugely experienced and focused. Chambers further reported that Barton Legum “is accomplished in handling high-profile investment arbitrations for multinationals.
