Honlet Legum again increased its number of rankings in the 2025 editions of the Chambers & Partners guides, totalling now nine. Chambers’ rankings are exclusively prepared on the basis of client and peer-feedback.
Chambers continued to rank the firm among the leading firms in the French international arbitration market and noted: “Honlet Legum Arbitration has gained strength in the French market and handles a wide range of arbitration mandates. The team advises on BIT, investor-state and M&A cases and is highly sought after by oil, gas and mining clients.” It added that “Honlet Legum has very good partners who do both arbitration counsel and arbitrator work.”
In addition, Chambers distinguished both Jean-Christophe Honlet and Bart Legum in both categories of leading individuals as counsel and most-in-demand arbitrators (France). Both were also distinguished as leading individuals on a Europe-wide basis. Bart Legum was in addition distinguished among “Global Market Leaders” and in the “Africa-wide – Dispute resolution” categories.

He acts in cases involving Asian, Latin American and European jurisdictions”, and that, based on the testimony of client and peers, he is “is really excellent lawyer”; “a smart, sharp lawyer who is on top of things”; “a really top-notch lawyer who is an excellent arbitrator” and “a fantastic arbitration practitioner.”
